John is a tender engine. He is based on LNER Class V2/V3 2-6-2 hybrid. He is painted dark green with number 32 on his cab.
John is a one-of-a-kind of engine. He's the only LNER prairie not built by Sir Nigel Gresley, but by the Sodor Steamworks!
John is a hard worker, but can be extremely lazy and overly laid-back. Yet he truly cares for the other engines, and will do anything to help them out. John is also named after the Beatle, John Lennon.
